Obituary

Henry Gregor, 76, a lifetime Wishkah Valley resident, died Sunday at a local hospital.
He was born July 25, 1911, at his parents’ home in the Wishkah Valley.
He had been a logger, working for the Trio Logging Co., Greenwood Logging Co. and the Simpson Timber Co.
He retired due to injury in 1941.
Gregor was the caretaker of St. John’s Cemetery at Wishkah and began the first tree farm in Grays Harbor County in 1955.
He married Vera B. Fink in 1942 in Aberdeen. She survives at the family home.
He was a member of the Polish Club, and the fire commissioner for Fire District No. 10 for many years. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Ralph Gregor of the Wishkah Valley; two daughters, Nona Harwood Gregor and Judi Carter, both of Puyallup; a foster daughter, Martha Bodner of the Wishkah Valley; a sister, Josephine Green of Roseburg, Ore.; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fern Hill Funeral Home.
